There is a mismatch of opinions because in my experience the overwhelming majority of people not bothered about us going down immediately want us in a promotion battle the next season.
I reckon mid table mediocrity in the PL is more bearable than the same thing in the Championship.

Would be an unbelievable travesty for us to get relegated under the circumstances but it wouldn’t bother me if we were a championship club.
Would make a change going to a match with the hope of seeing a decent win.

The Championship will be great. A half full stadium. A ‘pragmatic’ manager that many of the fans are hoping will fail. People posting FITNESS and SPRINTS on WHO when someone notices that the players are looking sharper. Losing against Doncaster and their players treating the game like a cup final.
Just like old times.

It's bad enough being bottom now without a win & without a win in sight but to be there at the end of the season isn't worth thinking about

I’d probably have a better chance of getting my own season tickets rather than paying for ones that aren’t mine.
But the truth is I always want my club to do well. I want us in the top league beating teams perhaps we shouldn’t. I hope we never have another relegation on our club record
